Flaming Gas Valve
« on: November 21, 2013, 01:50:49 AM »
So I've had my Blackstone since September and not had any problem with the gas valve as a few have reported.   Tonight, I delivered it to a friend that is beginning to really get into pizza making.   We tsst fire it it up and everything is fine.  We make some E-dough and I light the BSO and go in to make the pie.  We look onto the patio and there's a flame shooting out of the valve.

After witnessing this problem,  I'm wondering what the resolution has been?

Sorry to hear about the flame problem.  I've heard that flashback is sometimes caused by the air control plate being closed off.  Unfortunately access is a bit difficult, but if you are game, I've posted how I got inside by drilling rivets.  For those that don't know the burner, the picture below shows the air control in the lower left.
