Case of Frozen Brooklyn Dough balls made by Lamonica 11oz
« on: December 06, 2013, 10:55:58 PM »
I don't see many on here using Lamonica frozen dough balls
I have heard Costco makes their pizza with Lamonicas
But just bought 2 cases a few weeks ago for $28 for a case of 55 11oz dough balls

Guess price is jumping up with this economy since the last time I paid $22 per case

But over all,,,,everyone loves the dough balls and I still feel its a deal when you buy by the case...JT

Funny.  I remember when Lamonica just had one pizzeria in Downtown LA, advertising dough made with water brought in from NY.  Now, a couple of decades later he has cornered the pizza-dough market and, as far as I know, abandoned the water claim.  He supplies frozen dough balls to many of the well-known "NY-Style" pizzerias in Los Angeles.  Now you can get them at Costco?  Someone found his niche!
Quote under my pic excludes Little Caesar's.

I'm posting this simply in the hopes that people reading will take the time to evaluate the "NYC" water claim.

It has nothing to do with the quality of the pizza.

Chaz,

This is one thread on the Lamonica's pizza dough.  http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/topic,9121.0.html  It looks like a NY style pizza dough to me.  There are other threads on the Lamonica's frozen pizza dough.
