My wife as been asking me for some time to find the distributer for the Fiestada pizza that they served her in High School. I have tried to find them to no avail. I notice how quickly some on the forum are at finding certain items out there, is there anyone that can help me find these little octagon pizzas.

Found this "recipe" for Fiestada pizza:

FIESTADA PIZZA-Jim Patton

Buy a pre-made crust.  Use pizza sauce with a small amount of taco sauce in it or use pizza sauce with taco flavored cheddar cheese. Cover with cheese and bake at 450 for 15-18 min.

You can purchase Fiestadas by the case at Gordon Food Service stores (GFS). They might not be in stock, but the stores will special-order them.

There are 96 of these delicious Mexican pizzas per case, and the cost is about $ 50. I used to order a case and split it with a neighbor, although every kid in the neighborhood would show up after school and demolish mine in a few days.

Preparation Instructions
Convection: 375 'F, 14 to 16 minutes. Conventional: 425 'F, 15 to 17 minutes. Place 12 frozen pizzas in 18"x26"x1/2" bun pans. Note: Due to  variances in oven regulators, cooking time and temperature may require adjustments.

COOKING GUIDELINES: Cook before eating. Place 16 frozen pizzas in 18" x 26" x 1/2" bun pans. CONVECTION OVEN: 375F for 11 to 16 minutes.  CONVENTIONAL OVEN: 425F for 15-20 minutes. I have tried to buy the fiestada pizzas with no luck.i can't even find a
distributer in my area to maybe deliver to my area or around it.Please help!

If you liked those,

 Just goto any store and buy any frozen Mexican Style pizza.

There are many brands starting with the store brand all the way up to the national brands.

 I love the little Kroger brand mexican pizza $.99  And when I wanna spend a few more dollars I will get a Tombstone brand "Supreme Taco" type. And it is awesome if baked just right. But if you burn it then it loses everything.

 How I wish I could get the ones 'they' called pizza now.

They came in a white foil lined box and had this fake cheese that never melted (looked like white gerbil food pellets), And the pepperoni looked red pencil eraser tips...

But I loved them all the same.

Our family has been Schwans customers for 25 years, so I've learned alot in that time frame.

So to support Trinity recommendation:  Schwans Food service makes Red Baron/Tombstone brand as well as Freshetta and Totino's products and there are alot of similarities.

Example: Schwans single serve deep-dish pizzas are identical to Red barron's except that the Red Barron brand has a spicier sauce.

I searched my Schwans home service catalog, and didn't find the fiestadas. It looks a bit like a product they used to carry called a "barquito" (a poor splicing of the words taquito and burrito) which was a pretty lame name to start with since the toppings were on the deep-dish pizza crust.

If you still have trouble getting the fiestadas, maybe one of there other brands might have something nearly identical.

FYI: If you love seasoned curly fries, you may want to sign-up as a home delivery customer. Schwan's makes the curly fries for Jack-in-the-box. The best part is...I can cook them better than the fast food joint can and they are ALWAYS fresh

This is a fairly old thread but I noticed recently that The Schwan Food Company still offers the Fiestada pizzas. The formulations have changed a bit since Steve last reported on this subject, as can be seen by clicking on the Product Specs links at http://www.schwansfoodservice.com/Search.cfm?q=fiestada&x=7&y=11. I could not find anything at the Gordon Food Services (GFS) website to indicate that they are still selling the Fiestada pizzas.

Fiestada pizzas I loved them the most of all school foods.
I use to help carry in the schools food and take it off the GFS truck and a list of all there food can be found in this pdf. Goto

Thank you very much. When I did a general forum search at GFS, I did not get a hit on Fiestada (or Schwans). However, with your help, I found one of the Fiestada pizzas by searching the pdf document you mentioned, at http://www.gfs.com/files/pdf/gms/ProductGuide.pdf.
