Kitchenaid Slicer/Shredder attachment
« on: December 20, 2013, 11:47:51 AM »
Just wondering what other member's opinions are on this - Is the KA slicer/shredder attachment worth purchasing? Not specifically for pizza making (although I would use it to shred mozzarella) but as a cooking utility in general. Thoughts?
If Tetris has taught me anything, itís that errors pile up and accomplishments disappear.

Mine is far from perfect, but if I need to shred, say, more than a pound of cheese, I'll definitely use it instead of shredding by hand or in a food processor. I don't know if different models use different styles of attachments, but mine uses cup-shaped attachments. The only one I ever use is the large shred attachment. There is a small shred attachment and a slice attachment, as well as one other attachment. (I can't even remember what this one does, or what it looks like.)
