F.Dick Knife Sharpener
« on: December 24, 2013, 04:40:25 PM »
Presenting an early Christmas present from my GF...The F. Dick 11-inch Multicut Steel.

I used one when I was a meat cutter in my teens and twenties. Incredible. Seven steels in one.

IMHO, the best sharpening steel on this, or any other planet

Does this sharpen the knife or just straighten the edge? Or is it a honing steel?

All of the above(to a degree), depending on how firm you press the blade against the steel.
I would call it a straightener above all else, though.
