Food Mill?

I was wondering if i should make pizza sauce fresh rather than keep buying $4.00 cans of San marzano tomatoes  :o at my store.
Would fresh tomatoes ( which kind Regular or Roma?) make any taste difference at all?, I love the San marzano flavor but it seems like too much money for it.

try Cento Italian tomatoes in the 35 oz can ,  I like them better than the san marzano and they are cheaper

I don't buy many fresh tomatoes in the grocery store but how much is it going to cost to get the comparable amount in a can?  would it really save you $.   We can't get anything I'd want to use here at this time of year.
