Weather Report From The Frozen North!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
« on: January 07, 2014, 12:53:28 AM »
last nite and tonite the temps are in the 20's to 30's below zero with wind chills in the 50 to 60 below zero range. My snowshoe grog I have outside is so cold, it turns my spit to ice before I can swallow. Just waiting for that lotto ticket and I'll be moving to Tahiti!!!

I feel it too Jackitup.  I live just up the road from you in Apple Valley.  I'm looking forward to this weekend when it will be in the mid 30s!  That will feel like Tahiti!

I'm kind of jealous.  I always enjoyed back country camping trips in that kind of weather.  It's been a long time since we've seen temps that low around here.  The best we've done recently was -16 Sat. Morning.

Stay safe everyone.  It is not that cold in our area but is cold enough for me.  It is 0 right now not including the wind chill factor.

For Minnesota it is not that big a deal though we revel in the near record breaking cold. We've had worse and we have the infrastructure, clothes and already built in winter outdoor and sports habits to handle it. It is the rest of the country further south that gets a greater shock.

We only got down to 9ish, but homes in the south are not built for these temps. A lot of people are having water issues here...

Things have been cold here in central Ohio and colder I don't need to experience :)  We have been off since Dec 20th for christmas break as well as yesterday and today.  I bet tomorrow we go back on a late arrival (2 hour delayed start to school).  We get paid for 5 snow days and already have used 4.  After that it is Saturday school for make ups.   I am excited to get back to making dough.  Walter
