blodgett vs bakers pride

im in the market for a hearth deck,bakers pride has cordeirite hearth while blodgett comes with rockite.is one better than the other?

I don't know if this answers your question. But Baker's Pride is practically an institution here in NYC. I see very few Blodgett's in comparison.

blodgetts are huge here in australia...never used 1..so cant give you a decent answer..we dont have bakers pride..

and blodgett  1000's (not made anymore) are THE non coal oven in connecticut.

Ive owned both.  1000's and BP 600Y.  Id buy the B1000 if you can find them.
