What is the best perlite/portland cement ratio?

As I have been on this forum, I have seen many ratios of perlcrete - from 6:1 to 10:1.  Is there an ideal ratio or does it matter where on the oven it goes, e.g. - under the hearth, sides, or above the dome?  Bonus question - how close is the insulating factor of perlcrete to ceramic fiber?

6-1 under the hearth, 8 to 10 to 1 over the top.
