New Global Moderators
« on: February 10, 2014, 08:15:16 PM »
With the unfortunate departure of Bill/SFNM as a valued Global Moderator, the time has come to add additional GMs to help me and Peter (Pete-zza) manage the forum. I was planning to wait until I heard back from all three candidates before making a formal announcement, but it seems that the cat is out of the bag, so to speak. So, let me go ahead and formally announce two of our new Global Moderators (the third will be announced as soon as I hear back from him).

So, without further ado, please welcome Tom Scarborough (Tscarborough) and John Della Vecchia (dellavecchia) as two of our newest Global Moderators. I want to personally thank them for stepping up to the plate to help me and Peter manage the site.  :)

Thanks to Tom and John for stepping up. Good on ya, as we say down under.

And even more "thank you's" to Steve, Peter and Bill for having made this into an awesome forum over all these years. Golly you're making me feel old.

Steve: question for you: When you started this forum, what did you think it might turn into?

Tscar a moderator?  I'm pretty sure that's one of the apocalyptic signs.  :-D

Congrats fellas.

And, last but not least, a warm welcome to Dave (Tampa) who just accepted the position of GM.  :chef:

We are now fully staffed and I feel that we have a good team helping to keep the forum running smoothly.

I'd like to officially welcome John, Tom and Dave as new Moderators. Having worked with Bill for so many years, I miss having him around but I am sure that he would be proud of the new team of Moderators. They are already pitching in to help make this forum the best of its kind anywhere.

Everyone please welcome Norma as our newest (and final... I hope) Global Moderator. Adding one more GM will better ensure that one of us is on the forum should a situation arise that needs our attention. In the past it was just Peter and Bill, and they were overworked... and I feel personally responsible for that. Having a larger group of people helping to run this place should lessen the burden on all the moderators, especially Peter.  :)

Welcome to the GM team Norma! Looks like we are in good hands. Thanks to all of you for taking the time, and putting in the effort, to make this such a great place to hang out and learn so much.  :pizza:
