2stone Inferno coupon for Pizzamaking members
« on: March 04, 2014, 01:14:23 PM »
Hi everyone!

Steve asked me if I would be willing to work up a discount for the Pizzamaking forum members on the inferno http://www.2stonepg.com/2stone-infern2.html

I have decided to offer a one time $850.00 discount coupon on the inferno (regular price $2075.00) with the following conditions.
This is a huge discount for me, since the inferno is made from high quality materials and is not cheap to make.
The Inferno has been our best selling oven and the only difference will be one stone in the top (because of UPS weight restrictions..... this allows us to ship it in one box)

!. The coupons code is "steve" all lower case (when entered this will knock off $850.00 from the posted price.
2. This price is contingent on 12 oven orders being placed from the forum (place your order and if the quantity is not met I reserve the right to refund the orders)
3. Post that you ordered on this thread so people know how many orders have been placed.
4. you pay freight
5. i reserve the right to limit orders after the minimum is made.

Regards
Willard

Willard is giving us a huge discount, so now's the time to get in on this great group-purchase deal.

I'm using my tax refund to buy one... just placed my order.  ;D

I have deleted several off-topic posts.

This thread is not the place to discuss differences between 2stone and other products. This thread is for those who wish to sign up to take advantage of the 2stone group-buy $850 discount offered by Willard.

Thanks for understanding and staying on-topic.

Hoe much would the freight generally cost? If zip code is required, mine is 18014.

You can add it to your cart, put in your address, and click calculate shipping. You can even go to the next screen and put in the "steve" coupon code to see your final order total. You will not have to enter any payment information so you can see your exact cost (until Willard fixes the coupon, your total will be off by $25).

Willard or Steve: I do not understand that - the only difference between what and what?  Is it that this Inferno has only one stone and the regular one has two?  or ?

Thanks.

Steve,

I fixed the coupon error.

The unit comes fully functional with the round Fibrament bottom stone and one top stone.....we normally ship with two top stones that are stacked which throws the weight into two box category.
you can double up the stone with any thicker ceramics for more thermal mass and it should be fine since it is not in the direct line of heat. Some people also put a layer of ceramic blanket on top.

So it would be best to have one stone on top for this special price but if its a must i will have to price out the second box depending on where you are located

if you want to communicate more direct with me email me at wgustavsen   @    gmail.com

Can you explain this process, and/or point to a proper ceramic blanket?  I have looked around but haven't seen any photos that show what's going on with the top stone, so it's hard for me to picture what doubling the top stone up would entail

(this image shows the top, but i can't imagine what it means to double that up? http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=27711.0;attach=137104;image )
i'm making a pizza utility app.  check it out and give suggestions! http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php?topic=30444.0

I think what he's saying is that instead of two stones stacked together to form the ceiling of the oven, he's only supplying one stone due to UPS weight restrictions. Two stones would create more thermal mass so the ceiling of the oven stays hot longer. But, instead of a second stone, you can simply add a layer of ceramic insulation above the top stone to achieve similar results (and that's what I plan to do).

Here's a video of the 2stone Inferno in action while you guys wait for your 2stones to arrive:

http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php?topic=28557.msg287535#msg287535

I've since added a click on/off foot pedal so I longer have to reach down low to turn the motor off right before launching the pizza and then on immediately afterwards.

Love that video, the pie, and the foot switch trick.  Nicely done.  I'm not sure what you put into that dough, but the poof was admirable.  I also like that you achieved good crumb coloration w/o any overcooking to the cheese.  Good stuff there.

Thanks Dave. I've got the 2stone dialed in really well. Here's the foot switch I implemented:

Along with a 1' extension cord needed based on the height of my 2stone base:

Cool.  I'll do that to my earlier generation Pro.

Damion,

Does your Inferno have the front mounted gas valve, and if so could you post a photo or describe it?  I'm thinking of modifying mine.

Thanks

Yes, there is a front mounted gas valve. It can be seen in the first picture in this post with my review of the 2stone Inferno:

I'm liking that pedal idea. Gonna have to steal that one. Now I just have to find a "foot print gas pedal" version  :-D

This is so tempting. Steve, you make it even more tempting with the refund check idea; I'd never miss the money! However, I'm looking at personal and eventually (hopefully) commercial use so I don't think it would fit for me. I continue to dream of that commercial 2stone.

Question for owners, at the rate of BTU's that this produces, how long of a run time do you usually get out of a standard 20lb propane tank?

I answer this question in my review of the 2stone Inferno:
http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php?topic=23994.0

20 lbs is a standard tank? Mine is 4.5 lbs. I'd estimate actual run time at about 10-15 hours. That's usually about 4-5 nights of baking pizzas.

My wife is starting to crack, it may take a while longer to fully convince her... How much longer does it look like this deal will last? (We aren't at 12 yet, and it wasn't clear if 12 was the min&max) I'm doing taxes this weekend, our 10 mo old says we need a pizza oven :D

Do these have an outdoor operating temperature range?
