I'm liking that pedal idea. Gonna have to steal that one. Now I just have to find a "foot print gas pedal" version  :-D

This is so tempting. Steve, you make it even more tempting with the refund check idea; I'd never miss the money! However, I'm looking at personal and eventually (hopefully) commercial use so I don't think it would fit for me. I continue to dream of that commercial 2stone.

Question for owners, at the rate of BTU's that this produces, how long of a run time do you usually get out of a standard 20lb propane tank?

I answer this question in my review of the 2stone Inferno:
http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php?topic=23994.0

20 lbs is a standard tank? Mine is 4.5 lbs. I'd estimate actual run time at about 10-15 hours. That's usually about 4-5 nights of baking pizzas.

My wife is starting to crack, it may take a while longer to fully convince her... How much longer does it look like this deal will last? (We aren't at 12 yet, and it wasn't clear if 12 was the min&max) I'm doing taxes this weekend, our 10 mo old says we need a pizza oven :D

Do these have an outdoor operating temperature range?

I've never heard of a 4.5 pound propane tank. Your typical gas grill propane tank (pictured below) is 20 pounds.

EDIT: Never mind, Google is your friend. A 4.5 pound tanks holds 1 gallon of propane. A typical 20 pound propane tank holds about 4.7 gallons.

I'll frame the whole thing like this:

I built an actual 42" oven in my backyard. Between getting dry wood, heat up time, and weather related issues, the outdoor oven is a production. I couldn't just "heat up the oven" after work. That whole thing takes a good bit of time.

The 2 Stone has allowed me to experiment every day if I want. I get out of work and crank it up. BAM! I'm eating dinner with my wife at 7pm. This winter I've cooked 3-4 times a week in my garage. It's literally 0 degrees outside with snow up to the back of my knees and I'm cooking pies in a minute and half at 850 in less than a half an hour. It will easily do 900+.

If you have the money it is the best value out there.

A small bottle at 800-850 batting the cold is good for about 6 cooks. Much depends on how high you're going. If you're in the high range I'd say there's no way it goes 10 hours.

Willard,

First off, thank you for the phenomenal discount.  I'm sure many members look forward to using the 2stone for the pizza making needs!  Very generous of you to provide such a drastic discount!

Second, I wanted to check, how long is the discount good for?  I'm in the process of handing my woodfired mobile oven to one of my partners as I get ready to open a restaurant... because of the risk involved in opening up a restaurant, I'm unlikely able to convince the wife to let me buy any new toys for the next few months... is this something you think you would provide long term to forum members, or will I just be out of luck later on when I want to get one of these for my home?

Thanks again!

Being a guy that builds and modifies everything i need (necessity being the mother of all invention!) I love to see when some one not only makes a mod that kicks ass but also wants to do something like put an old van-foot gas pedal on it! Good stuff. It's good to see a deal like this and even better to see members taking advantage. I love this place!
