What's the difference between a stomboli and a calzone?  They seem like the same thing to me.

The differences  seem to vary by region but where I'm from the main difference is a calzone has ricotta and a stromboli does not.  Also calzones around here are always half circles(folded over pizza) while strombolis are sometimes rolled up logs.
