I make pizza for the family EVERY SUNDAY, of course sometimes it is better than others and I experiment, but we always have a perfectly good meal. BUT, try to have the folks over for pizza, and everything goes wrong. ugh!!!
(just venting.....)

Yeah I know what you mean. I was bragging about my pizza and everyone wanted to try it. At that particular time I was still experimenting with different dough recipes and disaster seemed to strike every time I entertained others.
"and I experiment"
Do not experiment when cooking for others. Get a recipe and stick with it. I can make pizza in my sleep and cooking for others has been going very well.
