Pizza classes? In June in Chicago?
« on: April 07, 2014, 11:47:44 AM »
Hi, I've been making pizza for a long while now. It's been a few years since I discovered this forum which caused my pizzas to significantly improve in taste and texture.

BUT, I don't know how to throw a pizza. I'm going to Chicago mid-June and I looked up pizza making classes but didn't see much at the sites I perused. I'd happily go work in a restaurant for a day if they'd let me toss the dough around.

I'm not particularly interested in deep dish, but I've no other restraints.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.  :)

Theresa, if all you want to do is learn how to toss dough, I don't think you need to take a class.  You can learn that from a video. Here's a good one:

Eataly Chicago Chef's Workshop: A Hands-On Pizza Party with Rossopomodoro ; June 25th

I was less than impressed by the only pizza I had at Eataly, so hopefully the class produces better pies than the chef did the day I was there.
