Let's all form a group and pitch in $20 each.
Things have never been more like today than they are right now.

I was there a few weeks ago. At 5:30 on a Saturday, Pepe's had a line out of their little waiting room and into the street. Sally's had tables without a wait. Also, Sally's kitchen looked a bit messy. People working there were incredibly friendly and while I doubt they were related, they were clearly family. In case anyone is curious, sacks of flour on the right were All Trumps.

I hope they upgrade the air conditioning. It was hot in there last year during our Pizza Crawl.

I hope they upgrade their tomatoes as well.  Worst sauce I've ever eaten.  I swear they were using slightly watered down paste.

Were you in the front near the door or the back?

The back, closer to the ovens, seems to have better A/C. At least the two times I've sat back there, you could feel the difference as you walked from the front into the back area.
¡Hasta la pizza!

yeah guess if you can afford $1-2 Million for that place ??? a new air conditioner would be chicken scratch??
On the crawl this place was very disappointing the worst of all.
I would vote
#1 Modern
#2 Pepes
#3 by a long shot -  Sallys

SOMEONE.....probably a non restaurant person is going to pay A TON for that business.....equipment means NOTHING, they want the name for expansion possibilities, ala PEPE'S.  IMO, the amount will be SCARY high.......

A bit messy? You must have visited them after a day of some heavy-duty cleaning.

That's strange. I've been to Sally's probably a dozen times and have ordered their plain pie on every visit. Greatest pizza on planet earth IMHO. How they manage to get such incredible flavor from so few ingredients is simply mind blowing. Perhaps you caught them on an off day.
