There doesn't seem to be a lot of mass in there.  I'd love to see the interior but alas, no speaka da italiano.  Cool Idea!

Pretty cool  8)

I've seen a propane version made in Egypt. Someone posted a link to it recently within the forum.

I wasn't too keen on the propane, I want the smokey flavors like I get from the charcoal grill.

I know I can use wood chips, but haven't tried it.

Has anyone tried using the woodchips in their home oven for smoke flavor ???

I did and it set off my smoke alarm before I could tell if it worked.

Thanks Peter

That settles it then. My alarms are hyper sensitive as it is.

Hi Lydia:

If you want smoke like a real pizzeria, just keep jacking the pizzas in and out of the HOT oven.  The ball bearings be them masa harina, corn meal even semolina will soon give up their essence and bless your pie wth it's essence.
The smoke is just a beautiful hapenstance .  Use your vent...the smoke alarm is just jealous.
