If you live in or near NYC, you must try Eli & Ali's Petite Roma omatoes on pizza. They are indescribably sweet and delicious. Since trying them (two tomatoes, sliced, for a 9" pizza), I have virtually stopped using sauce -- just dough and cheese, topped with the tomatoe slices. Indeed, the only reason I use sauce at all, is to use of my current supply of canned whole Italian tomatoes. When those run out, I will use fresh, sliced Eli & Ali's plum-sized tomatoes, exclusively.
