The story behind Stanislaus 7/11 74/40 80/40 naming?
« on: July 22, 2014, 08:43:32 AM »
In quest of the random fact of the day... spent a few minutes googling with no results...
Anyone know the story behind the naming convention that Stanislaus used for the 7/11 74/40 80/40 tomato products?  Seems like random numbers to me, but there must be some logic to them!

74/40 and 80/40 were named because you get 74 and 80 oz drained weight respectively when similar competing products only give you 40oz.
