As a side point consider storing the yeast in the cooler which will give you a good year to use IDY if it is in a sealed container. You can find a glass, gasket-ed, push-on-top jar at places like wally world for under five dollars. They are often given as gifts with candy. Then you can go from the cooler to the bowl with little concern.
