I tried Leonardo's frozen stuffed deep dish pizza (now available in many states-- http://www.leonardosfrozenpizza.com/locations.cfm
). While I wasn't fond of the sauce (which comes in a separate package), I found the crust to be the best I've ever had among frozen varieties. It's actually hand-made, is quite similar to Giordano's, and tastes like it came from an actual restaurant. Whole milk mozzarella as well.
One of the ingredients listed is margarine, which surprised me, but perhaps it functions as a Crisco-like flakiness producer. Perhaps someone can comment.
I would give this pizza a very high rating--it's definitely worth a try!
