Finding parts for a Hobart Medalist L-20
« on: August 24, 2006, 06:10:58 PM »
Just got a free Hobart Medalist L-20. Works but the only problem is no dough hook or bowl. Any good sites or ideas on where to find these parts? Same model as the pic.

Thanks,
Pete

PETESOPIZZA:
Good morning to you. I made inquiry for you at our local re-hab Hobart mixer shop here in Las Vegas, NV. I am sorry I have to be the bearer of bad news. The 20 qt. bowl costs $340 New. The reason you do not have a dough hook is  a dough hook doesn't come with this model. Only a paddle & a Whisk. This model was designed for pastry baking.
Good luck to you & enjoy the rest of the day.

Hey,

Thanks for looking. I'll have to figure out a way to modify a dough hook then.

Thanks, Pete

PETESOPIZZA:
Good morning my friend. Thank-you for posting this site. It is an interesting site they seem to have every thing for culinary matters.. I may be able to help others when they ask for equipment. Pete, I didn't notice anything to do with a Medalist mixer... did you make inquiry about your mixer ????. Keep me posted Pete I am interested & I hope you get what need.
Good luck & enjoy the rest of the day.

DINKS,

They had a bowl for $160 and a dough hook for $63. Both are after market products that fit the l-20. Thanks for asking.

don't try to mix dough with that mixer, it wont handle id. sell it on ebay and buy a real Hobart 20.it is the best for small Pizzeria.
