Man, it's been a week without making pizzas for me. I think I'm going through withdrawls.

Anybody have any creative ideas to keep my mind off the pizza pie?

I just went a week too without making a pie!!!
I didnt think that I could do it. A little shakey this morning but the DTs should subside by noon or so.
Busy with other projects, etc...
Working on a Sourdough to try with a pie sometime. Should be ready this Thursday or so.
I can sympathize with ya

I went trough that acouple of weeks ago. Bummer! Freeze your homemade and have it on hand when time prevents preptime. The Chicago freezes and reheats very well.

I have been on an unintentional 5 day pizza fast. Just have not hade the time. Its killing me.

Kids keeping me way to busy to make dough. Just like Pierre...

On top of that I was going to make some today, but........
Had to go and have a molar ripped from my mouth by Dr. Frankenstein my dentist. Now no pizza for a couple days.

Dr. Frankenstein also gave me perscription for VICODIN. mmmmmm my favorite pizza topping.
If neccessary I will take a couple just to eat a pizza if the shakes from pizza withdrawl gets to much.
Of course with the combination of all my other medication the Vicodin kind of screws me up in the head a bit sometimes.

The sauces tend to get a little complicated when I am on vicodin. And since I always forget to write them down I could come up with a pizza that was trulyThe Food Of The Gods and I will not be able to reproduce it.

I know I'll set up the Camcorder while I cook

I've been in adrough of about everything

Pizza, Q or anything home made. Lots of take out and fast food.

I'm hoping that my life will slow down soon.

Maybe this weekend.

Having a slow moment now so playing so catch up.

Pizza fast ended for me today as I picked up my new KitchenAid from the Mall.

Stopped and had a large slice of pizza from Pizza Villa formerly a Sbarro's. It actually had been a Sbarro's my whole life.(coincidentally JameZ, who just joined the forum, and I used to take a bus to St. Paul catch a connection on another bus to get to this Sbarro's just to have a slice.)That was some 20 + years ago.

Today though to end my fast I was served a slice of wet cardboard with catsup and melted polyurethane on it.
One of the worst slices ever.

Making my own tommorow..

That's very close to my experience when I had my first pizza in a restaurant here in Hamburg some 20 years ago. Thought I landed on the moon, and had to eat some monolith in disc shape. Tasteless, dry nothingness....

Recovered from the nasty pizza at Pizza Villa and made some Peter Reinhart Neopolitin dough for dinner.

Two pies one pepperoni
One Sausage, pepperoni, green peppers. Both turned out great.
Made them for new Pizza Forum member JameZ and family.

Also used a can of San Marinzono Peeled for the sauce, was delicious.
6 in 1 and Sir Lancelot flour to arrive by UPS later this week.

That is very nice and colorful.

My cooking drought ended, made soup and bread.

I think my pizza drought will end tomorrow (Well Tuesday, I'll make the dough tomorrow). Can't wait. Think I will break in with a NY style. Can't wait. Its been too long.
