Spiced Dough

Has anyone experimented with putting spices or herbs mixed in the dough? I've tried dried oregano a couple times, but I was wondering if anyone has tried anything different.

i used to put various herbs in, along with stuff like garlic and onion.  it's something to try, at any rate.  that said, i no longer add any herbs/garlic/onion, though recently i have been tempted to add raisins for some reason.

As ;you can imagine I used to make a bit of Foccacia bread so I have tried many things in my dough and found them all pretty good. However I am pretty much of a purist with the crust now and just adjust the yeast and salt.

Rosemary is pretty good in pizza dough though. :)

I too have done the spices in the dough.
Not since finding this site, tempted too.
I have found that I put the spices in the dough to make the dough taste less like bread. That was before the help and information that I got from the posts here.
Now that my dough tastes like pizza dough, I may revisit adding some spices to the dough.
Still want to try a couple more recipes and variations before doing that.
Definately adds to the flavor of the pizza

Foccaciaman, did you use fresh or dried rosemary? I love rosemary bread!

I have used both, however I actually prefer the dried Rosemary. Try it you'll  like it in the dough. ;D
