Detroit "Square Deep Dish" Pizza

Anyone here from my home town of Detroit? Anyone familiar with Detroit-style, square "deep dish" pizza, a la Buddy's?

Is this the just a square-shaped Chicago-style deep dish pizza?  Can I use the same dough?

Oh man...I went to college outside of Detroit and we used to go to Buddy's quite a bit.  They had some good pies.  Like a mix of greek and chicago styles.

Best deep dish was in Greektown, Pizza Papalis (sp).

My experiences with Buddy's pizza was back in 1984, when I was working for Chrysler and would visit Detroit on business.  Definitely a memorable pizza in the good sense, but for the life of me I couldn't even try to duplicate it.  Anybody have some insight, or at least some pictures?  Thanks, Ed

I traveled to Detroit (Warren, MI) for work very often from 2001 to 2004 and ate at Buddy's quite a bit.  It seems very much like a Pizza Hut pan pizza, but different and more sauce and a blend of cheeses, like Munster and Mozzarella maybe.  I'd love to hear if anyone can make something similar...it is a very tasty pie.
