Clean cycle dough recipe for newbie
« on: October 06, 2006, 07:57:18 AM »
I'm new to the clean cycle method. Would someone kindly direct me to a good dough recipe that I can make in my Kitchen Aid mixer using a starter. I found I can purchase a sourdough starter or a white bread starter from the bakery down the street. Which starter would you recommend, the sourdough or the white bread? Thanx

GRAPEAPE,

What kind of flour are you planning to use?

As between the two starters, if the sourdough starter will produce a highly sourdough flavor I think I would go with the white bread starter.

I pretty much started the cleaning cycle thing, so you might want to check out my recipe. There are clear instructions for a Kitchen Aid mixer too:

I'd go with a sourdough culture.
