Chicago Style on Wheat/ Greek Pizza
« on: October 19, 2006, 02:34:29 PM »
I'm new to the whole idea of making pizza.  I was looking for a good recipe for a pepperoni Chicago style on with wheat dough and a Greek pizza.

tehbroly,

“Greek” can mean a couple of different things. It can mean a pizza using things like feta cheese, olives, etc., like described at Reply 4 at http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/topic,508.msg4449.html#msg4449, or it can mean a style of pizza popular in the Northeast, as described at this thread: http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/topic,691.msg6229.html#msg6229.

As to the wheat crust, are you thinking Chicago thin crust or deep-dish? I can’t say that I have heard of either but maybe one of our Chicago-based members can offer some insights.

Peter,

Thanks for links.  I'm going to try and make the feta cheese, olives, etc. pizza this weekend!   :chef: We are also going to try and make a deep dish Chicago Style Pizza and since we are on a 'diet' we are going to make wheat crusts.  If anybody knows how/if this is possible please let me know.

Thanks,
Kim
