one more question... if anyone knows:
Does the thickness of the floor brick or tiles match that of the dome bricks if they are of the same composition? I was thinking of a subfloor of 4 inches of refractory concrete on 3.5 inches of vermiculite insulation under the 4 inch floor and about 2.5 inches of refractory concrete around the dome, with about 4-6 inches of vermiculite between dome and outer brick wall. My specs I am thinking of are a 50" dome and 17" dome height (aggressive curve with a flattened cuppola) with an 11" door height and 21" door width. If any one can feed my inquiring mind would be great, thanks!
