The new Pizza Institute of Las Vegas has been developed in response to student interest and industry demands, the Pizza Institute of Las Vegas will provide you with the training and expertise you need to begin your career in the pizza/Italian food industry. The instructors collectively have over 80 years of experience in all aspects of the pizza industry.
The program is designed to be 1 month long in class - plus a 2 month externship where you can apply your skills in a real-world environment. We will assist you in all 50 states in obtaining hands on experience for your 2 month externship. As part of the program, you will:
* Learn cooking methods for all types of pizza, traditional Neapolitan, Chicago deep dish, and California type gourmet
* Learn to use all types of equipment including deck ovens, conveyer, and wood burning
* Learn how to develop menus
* Learn how to find and negotiate a lease
* Study the nutritional and sanitary aspects of pizza/food preparation
* Achieve proficiency in standard techniques
* Experience front - and back-of-the-house operations in our on-site restaurant
* Be trained in procedure and organizational techniques
We've made special arrangements with local hotel/motel properties to put you up for a month at deep discounted rates usually costing $30.00 per day. For those with fancier needs, we will get you "casino" rates on the Las Vegas strip.
