I'm taking a road trip from Portland to San Francisco and was wondering if someone can recommend a few quality places. Thanks!

Definitely go toPizziolo in Oakland, it's terrific. http://www.pizzaiolo.us/  A16 is very well known and is highly regarded, but when I was in SFO earlier this year, I thought Pizzaiolo was better.  Pizzaiolo is small and popular so you may have to wait, but it's definitely worth it.
