I recently stumbled upon this grill at costco.comhttp://www.costco.com/Browse/Productgroup.aspx?Prodid=11186641&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&N=4018060&Mo=5&pos=1&No=5&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&cat=57734&Ns=P_Price
It's still fairly expensive, but it says it has infrared heat and can cook up to 900 degrees.
"Delta Heat introduces the worlds first outdoor patented SALAMANGRILL. The oven-shaped grill with a 15,000 infrared BTU burner located on the top of the cooking cavity generates 1,700 degrees of searing heat in 90 seconds allowing users to cook at a temperature range from 400 to 900 degrees. "
This is a retail item, I just couldn't figure out where to post since it is a propane grill, non-traditional, and isn't a home cooking oven you typically see in a house.
