Da Michele closed!

I recently returned from a trip to Italy deeply disappointed. Upon my visit to Naples, Da Michele was closed for f!@#$%? renovations.
I could not believe it, I'm in Naples and Da Michele is closed!! I had to console myself with Trianon which tasted beter then all the other pizzas I had eaten in Italy thus far.
It's 3 weeks I'm back and I am slowly getting over it.
Just wanted to share my experience with you guys, this forum is my support group.

That stinks.  Did you take any pictures at Trianon?

There was a sign that stated closed for renovations. Maybe they took advantage of the August holidays to do them, unfortunately for me.
I did not take any pictures at Trianon.

Here are two pics, the last one is from Bojano, a town in Isernia and the first from San Bartolomeo in Galdo, a town in Benevento.
The pizzas were both excellent. The Bojano pie was a little too salty for my taste but the crust was excellent, Napoletana-style. The other was excellent but had a more crispier crust.

The other three are pizzas that I made on my trip in my cousin’s wood burning oven. Making my own pies helped me get over my Da Michele disappointment.

They close every year 3 weeks in August (we have already mentioned this in the past and believe Scott had also talked about it.

They normally refurbish the oven floor during that period as many other pizzeria in Naples.
