I keep forgetting to ask this question...
When I am making my dough in my KitchenAid mixer, I find that the dough starts to ride up over the dough hook. I then either push it down with a spatula while it is still moving, or I shut it off and pull it off the hook and turn it back on. This happens repeatedly when I am using more than 3 cups of flour.
Is this common? Is there an easy solution? Is there anyway I do not have to stand and moniter the dang mixer the whole time?
I feel I might as well be kneading by hand sometimes.
