humpty99,

If you do a forum search using the keywords Big Green Egg and/or BGE, you will find a ton of information on using the BGE for baking pizzas.

I have cooked pizza in my Kamado grill, which is another brand of ceramic grill. I usually cook them at about 650 - 700 degrees or so, but it works very well indeed. It can go hotter if desired, some users have reported over 1000.

I've been breaking in a new Egg lately. I found that at higher temperatures (700+) I needed to add an extra layer of textured stone, otherwise the bottom would burn. Here are some pictures:

Very nice indeed, check out Villa Romas LBE (little black egg) conversion he did... its really astonishing how he came up with his idea for a high temp cooker.... Nice pies... how long have you had your Kamado grill?? was it expensive??
