Yesterday's Focaccia
« on: June 04, 2007, 11:40:27 AM »
I've had a hankerin' for some of this for the last few days, so I broke down and made one yesterday.

Similar to my basic pizza dough with more yeast. 2 soft (but not browned) Vidalia onions, sea salt, 1/4 cup fresh basil, some good quality olive oil,and fresh ground pepper.

Ready to go in 400 oven for 30-35 minutes.

Just out of the oven. Was more golden brown than photo shows and the basil, though dark, was still pliant and flavorful.

A tad blurry, but nice crumb and very tasty.

Oh yeah, did a pizza too since the oven and stone were already hot. No frills except for the basil.

Hey Pete, how come my pix didn't show up instead of links?

Art,

I'm not sure. Perhaps someone else can answer your question. However, I believe that photobucket operates to provide a link rather than the photo itself.

Best I can tell, in-line linked images to other sites are no longer supported here. Use the "attach" photo button at the bottom of the compose text box to upload photos from your PC this forum's host.

Art,

I right clicked (Save Picture As) one of your photos (for the pizza) and stored the photo on my hard drive in My Pictures. I then used the Browse button and loaded the information from My Pictures for the pizza photo into the Attach field, getting the following:

Pete, thanks for the suggestion. I did that and now have all the pix in my post, but it would be nice to be able to have the captions under each photo. There must be an easier way...    ??? Art
