Here is the recipe I have been using to make my own:
|1 lb. lean ground turkey||1 1/2 t. sugar|
|2 t. garlic powder||1 t. salt|
|1 1/2 t. fennel seed, crushed||1 t. dried oregano|
|1/2 t. pepper|
Combine all ingredients in bowl. Be sure to mix well.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hrs. (overnight is best)
Shape into patties or crumble to cook.
This is a very good recipe. I haven't had anyone able to tell it wasn't pork sausage.
