while running by albertson's on the way to pick up some taco shells, i passed zachary's chicago deep dish (pg 69, 130 in 'American Pie') and noticed the dumpsters were out to picked up by the garbage people. after doing a little dumpster diving, it seems that at least one variety of sauce that zachary's uses is diced tomatoes in puree by 'pizzadoro.' on the can it says something like, 'meets the standards of zachary's chicago deep dish,' so apparently it's not that big of a secret. anyhow, i thought i'd at least pass this along.
