Can we down load excel spread sheets to this forum?

To the best of my knowledge from a reply that Steve posted some time ago, the only supported file formats (for attachments) are .gif, .jpg, and .png.

Hi Pete,

Bummer... I have a little spread sheet that my wife help me make in Excel. You enter the cost of you material, it breaks it down into ounces, and it calculates the cost of the pie.

I'm sure the members have something like it or better. I just thought I'd share this one with the novice/newbies like myself.

If you have time, would you consider having a look at it and critiquing it?

I'd be happy to take a look at your spreadsheet but you are likely to get a more useful response from one of our members who is already in the business or contemplating same. I know that there are many pizza operators who are using spreadsheets but there are also many who use the CostProPlus software sold by Big Dave Ostrander for $199. Dave originally used a spreadsheet but it kept on crashing. So, with the help of Jeff Ward at Point of Success, a POS system seller, the spreadsheet was replaced by software that was much more reliable and also contained many more features. CostProPlus is an add-on to the Point of Success system, as noted at http://www.pointofsuccess.com/foodcostpro.htm, but it can also be purchased separately directly from Dave Ostrander.
