2stone thread locked - why?

The reverse engineered coal-fired brick oven thread (aka the 2stone thread) is now locked.  Did it hit a limit of 700 posts?

No idea at this point why it became locked, but I was able to unlock and post a test message (now deleted) to the thread. Let us know if if you are unsuccessful in posting there.
