Finally, a place I can buy Grande mozz. in reasonable quantities. Until now the only sources I found were by the case only.
Maine Source, just off the Cross Valley expressway, has part-skim and whole milk mozz (also provolone) by the loaf in their cooler. Even better, they were willing to cut a loaf of the whole milk in half for me. At $3.35 a lb, I got 3.5 lbs. for just under $12.
I also saw 5 lb. bags of Grande shredded (not grated) parmesan. Has anyone tried this? Is it good?
