How about posting some photos of early attempts, successful or not, at pizza making?

My first ones were a total disaster and sad looking. Literally drowned in cheese and sauce, with toppings barely visible except when hanging over the edge of the crust

I would love to play along, but not only did I not take many photos of early attempts...um... can you say "DELETE" boys and girls?

I was just going to mention I would post a few images too, but digital cameras were still just a dream for consumers when I made my first pizza. I think I might have had access to a Kodak 126 camera (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/126_film), but still no pictures.

True THAT red.november! When I first started making pizzas from scratch (pizza stone? what's THAT?) I was probably still using my Brownie Starmite!

RN could probably get away by drawing up one of his infamous illustrations but you, SD, well...I don't know what to say other than I do understand that you didn't want to take any early pics with that camera. It would scare the sauce plus cheese right off the pie

LOL! Absolutely! My kids tell me that I'm so old, I f@rt dust! Naughty, they are!!

Mike, that camera was once new and exciting! I was thrilled to have it! AND, I had to buy FLASHBULBS and film for it, so it was an expensive hobby by today's standards! Back in the "olden days" it never occurred to me to take pictures of FOOD!

F@rting dust. Never heard that one before. But it's a good one.

When I was a kid, I made so-called "pizzas" from butter and flour in my Mom's kitchen. That's it. Oh, and I used ketchup as sauce. They tasted like hell but my Mom always played along.

I remember the camera my parents had back then. An Agfa Silette.

She still does to this day. And if I screw up she's not afraid to let me know, even though she's what I call, a "walking meter". She's that short.

You fared much better than most of us, I could imagine. Well, definitely better than my first two pies, which were a disaster.

Looking at the sequence of your photos, it seems the mozzarella melted a bit more with each photo.
