hamlove,
I got mine at BJ's Wholesale Club and I notice there are several stores in Georgia. It comes wrapped with 2 one pound boxes. I've been working out of one of those boxes for a year and a half. The other box, I gave to my mother. It keeps well in the freezer but I store a little at a time in my refrigerator.

ham,

For background reading on how and where IDY is sold, see Reply 632 at http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/topic,576.msg45264/topicseen.html#msg45264. You will find that the term "instant dry yeast" is not used by yeast producers for their consumer brand yeasts sold in supermarkets. The term is reserved only for the IDY sold to professionals. See also http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/topic,5328.msg45137.html#msg45137 for a discussion of brands of yeast that are sold in supermarkets under the same names but are really the same and come from the same source. I believe that the yeast companies could clear up the confusion quite easily by naming their IDY products as such in the consumer market, but I believe they don't want home users to know their supermarket yeasts by that name. They want them to buy their yeast in expensive small packets and bottles rather than getting the professional size which is immensely cheaper on a unit basis than the small packets and bottles.
