I was completely surprised to see this when driving past it, and even more surprised to see that it's affiliated with the original East Harlem location rather than the midtown chain. You can see that the pizza doesn't have exactly the same look as East Harlem, but having eaten at both within 72 hours, I can say that the taste was not far off. Big thumbs up. They said they've been open about a year and a half.

I'v been going to Patsy's in Syosset for the last month.
Before I went to Patsy's the best Pizza i tried in Longisland was Emilios in Commack.
All I got to say is, the pizza at Patsy's is unbelievable.
The tomato sauce is as good as anything i'v tried.
It literally melts in your mouth.
What i like is, they blend the tomato sauce and cheese perfectly.
I cant tell you how many other pizza places i'v been to, where the pizza looks like 80% cheese and 20% tomato sauce. You cant even see the tomato sauce.
Polino who makes the pizza at Patsy's is as good as anyone when it comes to making Pizza.
I get the regular pizza.

JT,
I believe that the Patsy's sauce you saw in the supermarket is from the (unrelated) NYC Italian restaurant also called Patsy's:

JT,
They are not related. Your instincts about possible confusion are good. The two companies have been involved in litigation over their respective uses of the name Patsy's. See

Looks good.
Someone should try to make a family tree of all of the various Grimaldi and Lancieri's.

Patrick,
Many years ago, the NY Times attempted a family tree of the NY pizza dynasties. You can see the family tree at
