Denver 6-1 Tomatoes
« on: November 20, 2008, 05:13:01 PM »
Great forum you folks have put together. I'm inspired!  :chef:

I found 6-1 in Denver at Carmine Lonardo's deli in Aurora on Smoky Hill. He also has a location in Lakewood. They were not in the least bit cheap ($3.00 for 28oz or $15.50 for a #10 can) but I was desperate. If there are any Denver board members let me know if you've found a source for Tomato Magic or other comparable tomato products at a better price point).

I will say that the house made sausage there at Lonardo's was the best I've had in Denver. Interesting that Carmine Lonardo is the same last name as Rose and Tony Lonardo from Carbone's (my 2nd favorite sausage in Denver). I'll dig to see if they are related.
