how long

I just got the italian strain from sourdough.com, i will not have time to activate it or take care of it for a couple months, will it be ok for that time in the fridge or how should i go about it. thanks for you help.mk

When I received my two Italian starters from sourdo.com, I activated one but not the second one until several months later.  Perhaps it was as long as six months.  When I activated the second starter it worked just fine.  I stored the packet in the doors butter compartment.
