AH-BEETZ's pepperoni
« on: January 18, 2009, 12:33:28 AM »
I just got a new batch of pepperoni from my butcher. I had him adjust the seasoning slightly from the last batch as well as changing the casing. I have to say. It is easily the best pepperoni I have ever tasted. I like it significantly more than the Ezzo. It cups nicely also. I'm sure if you guys wanted he would make some for you too. I'll try and take some photos on Monday. Terry

Terry-

Could you find out if that is the case? If so I'd like to try some. What info can you share?

How's business?,

Jeff

I'm sure he would. He's in business to make money. If you want, I can sell you a little and see if you like it? He usually makes 20 kg batches so maybe you you could go in on a batch. His store's name is Dressed to Grill in Mission, BC.

If you would sell me a couple pounds or a kg that would be great. Any issues shipping to the US?

Thanks.

JeffV,
I'll try it too! The only issue I would think is cost of the shipping!  I went to ship Terrys 3 lb box of Diamond Crystal Kosher salt  and  they wanted $24.00 to ship my $2 box !!!!!
Told them I did not want a plane ticket just to send this package.
So I am seaching for alternative shipping method to get you salt to you.

There shouldn't be any problem shipping it to the US. I can sell you a couple of pounds. I'll check my receipts to make sure of what I paid per pound. I will sell it to you for the same price.

Sorry, I haven't had a chance to do anything with the pepperoni yet. Very busy at work.

Does your butcher have to follow any specific laws to mix and sell you pepperoni legally..I was thinking of labeling and inspection and stuff like that.

I have no idea. I just buy it from him. He makes a lot of sausages and has a commercial store so I'm sure he does.

Here's a couple of photos of the pepperoni and I threw in an upskirt shot as well. This pie was cooked at about 680 dergrees. Note the little puddles of deliciousness in the pepperoni.
