Brian,

On the top of the index page next to the date and time is a little +/- box. You might try clicking on that. You might have accidentally clicked on that before and collapsed the part with the feature.

I also had the same problems that I couldn’t look at unread posts.  Somehow my minus- sign had changed into a plus sign+. When I changed back to the minus-, I could read past posts.  It was frustrating until Peter and Steve helped me understand what was wrong.  I never even noticed that feature to change the +/- before, so I don’t know how mine was changed.

Good luck getting yours straightened out.
