Beer Crust

Has anyone made or seen a recipe that uses beer to replace the water and some or all of the yeast?

Being a homebrewer I cannot say I have Deven, and I'm on several beer groups with a lot of posts each day, and I"ve never seen that.

But........ I have seen other recipes for battered fried fish, and other things that use beer.

I don't know about the beer replacing the yeast, but I bet the addition of a nice beer to the dough would be amazing.  I haven't tried it however.

Tell us how it turns out ( grin grin grin )

I would if I could find the recipe.  A friend's late grandma use to have a similar recipe for bread that used a dark beer.  I'll keep looking.
