For several years I worked for a pizza place in WA State. We had this awesome dessert the owner called apple eights. All we did was take pizza dough ...put apple pie filling on half, of the round dough and and fold over the other half... kinda like a calzone. Topped it with some cinn. and sugar... YUMMY! We served it with this powdered sugar and carmel syrup dipping sauce.... Dear God it was unbelieveable. I now live in Colorado, but every time I get back to Spokane, I always make it a point to get some Apple eights from there.
