Pizzaeater - On a 14" pie, I use a 28 ounce can of 6in1 tomatoes drained. An 8" pie has about 1/3rd the surface area of a 14" pie. It's not really a sauce that I use, however. I'm thinking a cup and a half of sauce may be a bit shy, assuming the sauce is thinner than the tomatoes.
As far as baking goes, I'm no expert, but I would cut the time by five to seven minutes and then check it. But certainly, if it looks like the crust needs more browning, keep it in the oven. - Mazz
