Years ago there was a great pizza place called La Barbara's on Wilshire Blvd. near the Westwood area of Los Angeles. Although it was packed day and night, the family owners just quit making pizzas and closed the place. Does anyone have any info on how they made their great pizzas? I seem to remember they had the pre-cooked pizzas covered with tomato sauce stacked up on shelves rising before they were cooked and I believe they used fennel seeds in the sauce. Love to be able to duplicate their magic.
